Since joining adidas Originals in late 2023, the CLOT frontman has launched a handful of collections that speak to his current sensibilities while continuing to bridge East and West. His next project—which revisits the Superstar—taps none other than A BATHING APE® (BAPE®︎) for assistance. This collaboration isn’t just another colorway; it’s a radical reimagining of the 55-year-old shell-toe silhouette, blending the refined craftsmanship of CLOT with the disruptive street energy of BAPE.
The “Off White/Branch/Olive Cargo” color scheme offers a sophisticated alternative to previous black-based iterations. The upper features premium leather with unique stitched ridges, while BAPE’s iconic STA™ logos and “First Camo” patterns merge seamlessly with CLOT’s embossed “Silk Royale” motifs on the 3-Stripes and heel. Most notably, the standard cupsole is replaced with a dress shoe-inspired ripple sole with sawtooth tooling, creating a silhouette that feels as much at home at a formal event as it does on the streets of Cape Town.
